Patricia Woodward Richardson (1919-2001), a native of New Orleans, graduated from Newcomb College in 1939. While at Newcomb College, Patricia participated in Glee Club, Hockey, Student Body Secretary, Pi Beta Phi, T.U.R.K., Alpha Sigma Sigma, Cotillion Club, Dance Club, Tulane Student Council, Executive Committee, Junior Class President, Tulane University Rooters Klub, Newcomb Student Council, and Basketball. She also served as the Student Body President and the Student Government Secretary of the Southern Intercollegiate Association. She was the first female graduate in Chemistry and a member of Phi Beta Kappa. After graduation, Patricia was an active conservationist and horticulturist and went on to found the Ponchatoula Country Market in the 1970s. Patricia was the granddaughter of William Woodward.
