Jeanne Foster graduated from Newcomb College in 1963 with a BA in Philosophy. She earned an MA in Philosophy from the University of Texas at Austin (1965), an M.Div. in Ministry from Starr King School, GTU in Berkeley (1982), and a Ph.D. in Arts Literature and Religion from Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley. Jeanne is author of numerous books and a professor of English and creative writing. She was a Visiting Poet-in-Residence at Tulane University during the fall of 2004. In 2013, she was a Professor of Creative Writing and Literature at Saint Mary's College, Moraga, California.

Rosellen Brown was the 8th Zale-Kimmerling Writer-In-Residence in 1994. Rosellen is the author of 'Before and After' (1992) in addition to essays, poetry, and short stories. She is the recipient of an award in literature from the American Academy of Arts and Letters, was selected as on of Ms. Magazine's 12 "Women of the Year" in 1984, and has received multiple fellowships from the Guggenheim Foundation, the Bunting Institute, the Howard Foundation, and the National Endowment for the Arts. This recording is an interview of Rosellen Brown by Susan Larson, the book editor of the Times-Picayune from 1988-2009.

Lurie spends part of her time teaching in the English department at Cornell University. She is author of 'Bel Canto', 'The Patron Saint of Liars', and 'The Magician's Assistant' among others. She is the recipient of the PEN/Faulkner Award and the Orange Prize for Fiction.
